She passed away on May 17th, 1987.
On November 2nd, 2007 (All Souls Day) - after more than 20 years - Hans and I walked to the end of the wharf, and scattered her ashes over the waters of Brentwood Bay.

In the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit
Dear Lord and Father of all mankind
we turn to you and give you back
what came came from you.
We want to give thanks for the life of
Prudence Elizabeth Milloy,
Betty for those who knew her; Mom for us.
We remember the joy and laughter she brought to us;
we remember her struggles and doubts.
We thank you for what she taught us,
being compassionate and caring,
putting the welfare of her children above her own.
When we had done something wrong,
concern for our safety
and appreciation for honesty
always prevailed over anger.
We thank you for her support
when growing up and making our own choices.
We knew that she would be there for us,
wherever our path of life would lead us.
And when our path did go in a different direction,
she went along, being an example of the commitment
that is the basis of all human relationships.
We know You have received her in your care.
As a sign of our faith herein,
we now commend her remains
to the place where she loved to go,
visiting her Aunt Eunice,
and swimming in this bay.
We commend her to these waters,
expecting the eternal life
in the New Jerusalem.

Psalm 23
A Psalm of David
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me beside still waters;
he restores my soul.
He leads me in right paths
for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I fear no evil;
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff—
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
my whole life long.
